Actress Angie Torres Dies

In 2001, I made my first short film, 101 Days with Angie C. Torres, a delightfully brawny spirit. I was something of a scrawny, hard-headed idealist at the time. Angie took me under her wing, showing me what it means to work with a great actress...someone who shares your intention and wants to embark on the crazy journey with you. We slammed out our short film in five days...it deserved at least five weeks. Angie became, and will always be, my fondest memory of my first shot at the director's chair. I will love her forever for that.
